Awesome Foundation Grant
Granting Organization/Business Unit: The Awesome Foundation
Website: Northside Awesome
The North Minneapolis Chapter of the Awesome Foundation grants support projects in business, sciences, arts, education, civic engagement, media, and entertainment—essentially any initiative that contributes to making North Minneapolis more AWESOME! The program provides funding to groups, individuals, and small nonprofit organizations without requiring 501(c)(3) status.
Applications are prioritized based on clear ideas, project budgets, strong Northside connectivity, and a demonstrated positive impact on the Northside. Projects that do not have a significant connection to North Minneapolis are unlikely to receive funding.
Applicants must apply by the end of each month to be considered for a grant of up to $1,000. One grant is awarded each month, with winners notified by the middle of the following month. Applications received in December and January will be considered in early February instead of the usual monthly cycle.
Open to individuals, groups, and small nonprofit organizations.
501(c)(3) status is not required.
Projects must demonstrate strong connectivity to North Minneapolis.
Applicants who do not live in or have a significant connection to North Minneapolis are unlikely to be funded.
