Minnesota Community IDEAS Program

Overview: The Minnesota Community IDEAS Program seeks to support the design, testing, and spread of ideas that drive meaningful, community-led change. The program aims to inspire, equip, and connect people through transformative efforts that improve communities. Grants will be awarded within three target communities: Greater Minnesota, the Twin Cities 7-county metro area, and Native-led, Native-serving organizations. The selection process focuses on an organization’s potential for transformational impact and long-lasting change.

Eligibility Criteria/General Requirement:
Eligible applicants include Minnesota-based nonprofit organizations that are 501(c)(3) public charities or government entities (including schools). Organizations that are fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3) public charity or government entity may also apply. Groups of organizations (such as coalitions or collaboratives) can apply, but only one organization may submit the application and receive the award on behalf of the group. Grant funds must be used for charitable purposes benefiting communities in Minnesota.

Grant/Bid Amount: $160,000, paid over three years ($100,000 in 2025, $40,000 in 2026, and $20,000 in 2027)
