Overview
The Chapman Prize, established through the Daniel and Barbara Chapman Trust, annually recognizes and honors the efforts of individuals and organizations in the United States making significant contributions to society. Each year, the award focuses on a different theme, selected from Health & Wellness, Arts & Culture, Economic Prosperity, or Educational Success. Approximately $100,000 is awarded annually to recipients who demonstrate meaningful and innovative impact in the year’s selected focus area.

Status (Profit/Nonprofit): Nonprofit (U.S.-based 501(c)(3) organizations) and Individuals (U.S. citizens)

Eligibility Criteria/General Requirement:
Applicants must:

  • Be either a U.S. citizen or a U.S.-based nonprofit organization using funds exclusively within the U.S.

  • Have conducted charitable work for at least the past three years.

  • Demonstrate impact in the selected annual focus area.

Successful applicants should highlight:

  • Breadth of impact, including geographic reach.

  • Role as a change agent.

  • Collaboration with partners.

  • Diversity among beneficiaries, board, staff, and volunteers.

  • Sustainability and potential for long-term change.

  • Proven track record of extraordinary contributions in the selected area.

Grant Requests Not Accepted:

  • Applicants outside the U.S.

  • Organizations with fewer than three years of charitable work.

  • Proposals unrelated to the annual focus area.

Application Deadline: September 30, 2025

Grant Amount: $80,000 – $100,000 (approx.)
