Overview
The Community Investment Grant Application is managed through a competitive allocation process that identifies organizations with the potential to make the greatest difference in the communities served by United Way of Mower County (UWMC). Programs currently funded by UWMC, or those deemed eligible for funds through the new program application process, may submit funding requests annually. Once requests are submitted, panels of community volunteers conduct a multi-step review to ensure funding decisions align with community needs.

Eligibility Criteria/General Requirement:
Any nonprofit organization under the Internal Revenue Code of the United States—whether local, state, or national—that provides significant service to the Austin area and Mower County, Minnesota, is eligible to apply. Organizations must annually provide United Way of Mower County with the necessary certifications and documentation demonstrating compliance with nonprofit laws, tax-exempt regulations, and charitable organization requirements of relevant government agencies.
