Overview
The TRANSFORM Business Grant provides $1,000 in funding to anticapitalist, social impact-driven businesses led by individuals from systemically marginalized groups, including BIPOC, disabled, formerly incarcerated, queer, trans, and nonbinary people. In addition to funding, recipients participate in a year-long mentorship program with access to pro bono services in branding, coaching, marketing, and skill development. Rooted in anticapitalist and antiracist values, TRANSFORM aims to dismantle oppressive systems and redistribute wealth to empower sustainable business growth and professional development. Application dates for the 2025 cycle will be announced on the organization’s website, social media, and newsletter.
Status (Profit/Nonprofit): For-profit, Social Impact Businesses (U.S.-based only)
Eligibility Criteria/General Requirement:
Open to applicants in the United States, regardless of citizenship or immigration status.
Individuals and teams/groups may apply.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need (defined as being unable to access necessary resources with current means).
Applicants must identify as part of at least one systemically marginalized group.
Business or idea must:
• Align with TRANSFORM’s antiracist and anticapitalist values.
• Be social impact-oriented, challenging systems of oppression or addressing social injustices.
Business activities in medicinal or clinical practices are not eligible.
Grant Requests Not Accepted:
Political organizations or activities
Religious organizations for religious purposes
Student loans or debt repayment
Medicinal or clinical practice-based businesses
Application Deadline: September 26, 2025
Grant Amount: $1,000 (plus year-long mentorship and pro bono business services)
